Dancehall Rhythms

Here’s a selection of some classic dancehall rhythms. These uncompromising electronic works usually don’t get the attention they deserve, being overshadowed by the colorful vocal tunes on the A-sides. Well, we’ve completely neglected those to put the attention on the amazingly crafted rhythms that develop a rich universe of their own.
Please note: Most of these are Jamaican pressings, with crackle and dust built in. This is how it’s supposed to be!
