Millsart: Humana
Deep spaced-out techno
’An important release. Humana was made in the transition of leaving New York and opening new offices in Chicago. Created and released in 1995, Techno music was showing signs of complacency. This release was designed as a message to those who felt that Dance Music was beginning to lose the flow of new ideas and new perspectives. The label design and the usage of ’The Woman’ was to project the idea that females should be more present in the industry of Dance Music. It also reveals that Axis is feminine, not masculine.’
